She confessed her nervousness about our photo shoot to me during our planning phase, but I had no doubts. Her essence and intentions were so potent, even through a video call, that it would be impossible not to capture them on camera.

It became undeniably clear to me that I had so much more power over my life and health than I was giving myself credit for. It was the revelations from that time period that led me to quit my job, pursue photography full time, and find alternative ways of reducing my chronic symptoms.

Lisa is the owner of Hestur Studio, a Seattle-based fashion brand offering luxurious, hand-made leather bags, jewelry, clothing, and more. Her work is absolutely stunning and it was such an honor to capture her creations.

Working with brand designers is my absolute favorite because our goals are intrinsically in sync, professionally and creatively. Brand designers have already done all the hard work of defining their brand identity, ideal client, and the creative vision they want me to capture because that’s what they do.

Creating these whimsical, editorial-style brand images for a professional organizer was probably my favorite challenge to date. When I first quit my full-time job back in January 2023 to pursue photography, I reached out to a couple of local small businesses asking if they would let me curate a brand shoot for them.

I got to spend an incredible week exploring Nuremberg, getting to know Natalie and her husband, and taking some of my favorite photos still to this day. After that experience, it was really clear that I needed to make some changes.
