Seattle Editorial Fashion Photography: Hestur Studio

Lisa is the owner of Hestur Studio, a Seattle-based fashion brand offering luxurious, hand-made leather bags, jewelry, clothing, and more. Her work is absolutely stunning and it was such an honor to capture her creations. We assembled an unmatched team for this shoot and had such a good day laughing and creating together at the incredibly diverse Freeway Park.

Lisa and I originally connected in a local Facebook group for small business owners. I didn’t hear from her for some time, but she reached out to me about 7 months later when she was finally ready for her brand photo shoot. This was really encouraging because it’s easy to feel like the energy I put into networking and making connections is often wasted, but then I get amazing clients like Lisa who are genuine about their interest and just needed to wait for the right time!

Most of my branding work is with small, service-based businesses where the owner is also the face of the brand. I’m typically taking portraits of the business owner to showcase their brand and give their audience a way to connect to the human behind the scenes. The Hestur Studio shoot was a bit different because our goal was to create editorial images featuring the products and the lifestyle the brand embodies. I’m so grateful to the team who made achieving that goal possible! I could not have done it without them:
